Create 3D motion design at OpenGL speed
Trapcode Mir creates quick-rendering 3D shapes that are built on the power of OpenGL, previewing your effect instantly so you can keep on designing. You’ll play with a simple polygon mesh that is packed with 3D features, like fractal noise for distortion, texture mapping, repeating geometry, and After Effects light integration. Mir generates smoothly shaded objects or flowing organic elements, abstract landscapes and nebula structures — all beautifully animated with light and depth. Break the speed barrier in After Effects with motion design that is fast, flexible and fun.
OVERVIEW
Motion Graphics
Create flowing surfaces, endless tunnels, and abstract shapes for use in your motion graphics
Terrains
Design realistic or alien landscapes using Mir’s fractal displacement mapping.
3D Camera and Lights
Mir uses After Effects’ 3D Camera and Lights so you can fully integrate your Mir surfaces with your motion graphics and VFX shots.
What’s New in Trapcode Mir 2:
Spiral - Mir 2 adds the ability to spiralize the mesh, deforming the surface with spiral rotation.
Seamless Looping - Trapcode Mir 2 now includes the ability to create seamless, looping fractalbased backgrounds.
Quads and Triangles - Choose between quad or trianglebased polygons for your surfaces.
SecondPass Wireframe - Add a secondpass wireframe on top of your Mir surface. Great for creating grid overlays on terrains and more.
ZRange - Take control of the displacement by setting minimums and maximums. Great for creating plateaus and craters on your surfaces.
Fractals - Choose from regular, Multi, SmoothRidge, Multi SmoothRidge for varying displacements of the mesh.
Performance Enhancements - Mir 2 includes many performance enhancements including up to 3x optimized rendering speeds and improved VRAM management.
